Since August 2025 the Montclair Creative Reuse Project has been located in the back room of Culture Couture, 53 Church St in Montclair. Previously, I had been popping up at local events like Montclair's Earth Fest. My dream of opening a retail shop came true!
The space is 100 square feet and I make the most of every inch! I've curated many items in the shop including maps, books, and vintage finds. My contributions round out the selection of generously donated materials which include everything from straight ahead art supplies like paints, markers, pencils, yarn, fabric, and sketchbooks to greeting cards, ribbons, neckties, and board games. There is so much more!
Shopping here feels like a treasure hunt! There are drawers to open and bins to explore, yarn and fabric to feel, and books to peruse for inspiration! And as always, the customers make the prices!
I am present in the shop when it's open, I coordinate donation drop offs, and I organize, clean, sort, and merchandise everything. The magic happens when folks discover the little nook of a shop! Come visit soon!
