Another Way to Shop

At the Montclair Creative Reuse Project the customers always make the prices! The pay-what-you-can model of shopping gets the most fascinating reactions from customers- almost every time people ask me for suggestions or struggle to be fair. I never make suggestions, I trust people to know what they can afford and how much value the materials have to them. 

Sometimes I receive donated materials that are of interest or have a value above what I'm comfortable selling at pay-what-you-can prices. These special items will now be available through silent auction on a weekly basis! The highest bid will always be accepted!

The next time you visit the shop, these special silent auction items will be displayed in the window of the shop. You'll know which are the auction items because they'll have a green heart attached to them. If you see an item you'd like to bid on you can do that inside the shop by filling out a short form with your name and contact info, the item and your bid. Every Sunday night I will notify the highest bidders that they won the item! New items will be placed in the window on Wednesdays and bidding will last until Sunday at the end of the day.
