ICYMI: Acorn General Store Ribbon Cutting

In case you missed it, the Acorn General Store celebrated their grand opening recently. I attended the ribbon cutting and enjoyed meeting and chatting with BID members and the owners, Darya and Jacob. Jacob's statement during the ribbon cutting gave me goose bumps! Their authenticity and kindness are so pure and I'm here for it! Acorn is a great addition to Church Street and downtown! If you haven't visited yet be sure to pop in the next time you're on Church Street! They're getting in great new products every day!  And be sure to check out the downstairs where my...

Recent Materials Donations

The Montclair Creative Reuse Project has been the recipient of so many wonderful materials donations recently! I'm very grateful to all the generous people who have reached out to me through the contact page on my website and made the effort to bring me their donations of craft supplies! They will be made available at the next pop-up event and on the Shop MCRP page.  Just some of the recent materials donations I've received for MCRP! Buttons, beads, crochet hooks, yarn, acrylic paints, a case of disposable culture tubes... ...a paper drill for bookmaking, a small sewing machine, sidewalk chalk, a...

Starting Sunday, September 1st, my handmade creations and vintage finds will be available locally at the Acorn General Store! The owners, Darya and Jacob, have created a one-of-a-kind shopping experience located inside their gorgeous, new general store at 41 Church Street. They describe the Collective on their website as "a vintage/artisan collective showcasing the best local sellers and crafters in apparel, accessories and home decor."  The shop's grand opening will be held Friday, September 6th, at 10:30am. The collective is located downstairs at the General Store and will be accessible during shop hours. The aesthetic of the store is sustainability...

ICYMI: Nutley Farmers Market

In case you missed it, I made my first appearance of the year at the Nutley Farmers Market on July 28th! The weather was gorgeous and the turnout was great. It was my first time vending in the upper parking lot location and it was a pleasure to set up and spend the day there. I was excited to display my new Handwoven Rag Rugs and Kawandi-inspired Quilts for the first time! In fact, my first sale of the day was one of the rag rugs! It was a great affirmation that the time and energy I spent on my...

Parcel Events Elevates and Simplifies the Hosting Experience

Parcel Events co-founders, Emma and Hillary, elevate and simplify the hosting experience by “curating parcels filled with beautiful, well-designed, and reusable pieces of decor that can serve as the backdrop for any gathering, and be cherished long after the final guest has departed”. The concept of their business excites and intrigues me! As a former party supply store owner, the idea that decorations are offered with sustainability top of mind is very appealing to me! And when they purchased my Vintage Sheet Music Paper Heart Garlands for inclusion in their Salute Collection, I was thrilled! "Inspired by old world sensibility...
