In 1986 I was a junior at Rochester Institute of Technology in the School for American Craftsmen Weaving and Textile Design program. With encouragement from my 2 roommates I applied to exhibit at the Clothesline Art Festival at the Memorial Art Gallery. I was accepted and the event became my first experience vending at a craft show. Family and friends came out to support my endeavor and I recall it as a very positive and fun weekend. The Montclair Creative Reuse Project opened in it's new retail home located inside Culture Couture, 53 Church St in Montclair, and I couldn't be more pleased with the reception! The Grand Opening on Saturday, 8/2/25, was a steady flow of friends, family, and curious treasure hunters, who all found their way to the cozy space at the back of Culture Couture, a "shop inside a shop", as I'm calling it!  By the end of the day on Sunday I was euphoric and exhausted! I’m so excited to announce that the Montclair Creative Reuse Project has found a retail home! The project will be occupying a cozy space at the back of Culture Couture, 53 Church Street, on the corner of S. Park and Church Streets! It will be accessible during business hours when I’m present. We’ll celebrate with a grand opening on Saturday, August 2nd, from 12pm to 4pm! The donation policy will remain the same. In case you missed it, I popped up outside of the Keep Creating Art Wellness Center at Lackawanna Station last Saturday!
