This Saturday, 8/20, I will be back at the Montclair Pop-Up Artisan Market and I'm really excited to debut brand new Tshirt back packs!    Well-loved Tshirts are fair game and each one features a patch created from another Tshirt. Even the rope straps are made from double wide Tshirt yarn that I make from the bottom of the shirts. I'll also be selling my funny zipper pouches, pretty paper garlands, and cool vintage books and textiles! Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

This week I made the final delivery of repurposed banner bags to Jazz House Kids. This order included Wine Bottle Totes, Trapezoid Totes, and Square Totes, pictured here being delivery on the handlebars of my blue beach cruiser.  I actually rode it the 4 blocks from my apartment to the office! JHK sells them at events like today's Montclair Jazz Festival!    

This time lapse video shows me sewing the side of a banner bag. I apply rubber cement to keep the strap in place before I stitch it on my machine!

I've been having fun making time lapse videos of me sewing. In the latest one I'm sewing part of a wholesale order I've been working on. It could be a meditation in repetition except that I'm talking to my bf the whole time. My favorite part is near the end when I kiss him goodbye!

My Etsy How-Tuesday Feature: How to Make Plarn was at the top of the Craft Parties list featuring the best in DIY projects matched with the perfect wine! Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery recommends their 2014 Columbia Valley Chardonnay when cutting and crocheting leftover grocery bags into cute tote bags! Sounds good to me!
