ICYMI: Pop-Up at Keep Creating

In case you missed it, I popped up outside of the Keep Creating Art Wellness Center at Lackawanna Station last Saturday! I was invited by the owner, Nanci, as a way to cross-promote and share our common mission of sustainable creativity.

Like in the past, I had to make hard decisions about what to bring and what to leave behind. I thought I had brought enough to fill just one table, but quickly realized I needed a second table to display all the arts/crafts/school/office supplies I had brought! And that was only a fraction of all the donations I have received and organized!

Foot traffic through Lackawanna was strong all day, and I spoke to lots of curious folks about the Montclair Creative Reuse Project, handing out business cards to those with materials to donate, and making sales to treasure hunters who appreciated the "Pay What You Can" model. I went home a lot lighter and I'm grateful for that, and also that I am able to connect people with these materials! Every time I come away from an event I feel so thankful and optimistic that this project can continue to thrive!

Thanks to everyone who stopped and chatted with me, bought some supplies, made art at the Keep Creating Art Wellness Center drop-in Freestyle Studio time, my friends who helped me promote the event, and the folks who are revitalizing Lackawanna Station! I appreciate you all! -Claire
