The holiday shopping season has arrived and the push is on to find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list! Luckily, in Montclair there are great shops and annual events that support local businesses while making holiday gift-giving easy and memorable. These are the upcoming local holiday events where I'm participating this year!
Small Business Saturday is this Saturday, 11/26, and I will be set up at the {verdigreen} home Makers Market from 10am-1pm. This hub for all things chalk paint glows with holiday charm at this time of the year and it's always a treat to merchandise my wares in the great vintage vibe. In-store specials all day as well!
On Sunday, 12/11, I'll be vending at the Bizarre Bazaar again, the highlight of my season! Held at The Woodland, 60 Woodland Rd in Maplewood, this show has something for everyone and I always enjoy bringing my cleverly curated vintage books along with my handmade goodness to this celebration of creativity! A fan favorite at this event is having your picture taken with the Abominable Snowman for a small donation to Studio B, the organizers.
As we near the beginning of winter and we find our enthusiasm waning, my last event of the year has the perfect antidote for those of us needing motivation. Saturday 12/17 is the return of Drink Till you Shop upstairs at Tierney's Tavern and it is sure to be the cure for your stocking stuffer crisis and hard-to-buy-for family member challenges!
I will also be selling on consignment at 2 local pop-up shops this year! Visit the Artisans Gallery Pop-up in the lobby of the Clairidge Movie Theater daily until the end of the year and select from an amazing variety of merchandise from Haitian artisans that is being sold to support those in need in Haiti, as well as other local artisans. I have a variety of banner bags for sale there!
The Montclair Pop-Up reopens for the season at 310 Orange Road in the South End this Saturday from 11am-6pm. This annual favorite is bigger and better this year featuring more events and workshops than ever, as well as loads of locally sourced food vendors and artisans!
