Indie Arts Montclair Skill Shares took place last weekend and they were a resounding success! Attendees chose from free events that included Collage as Creative Expression, Intro to Qigong, Intro to Dungeons and Dragons, and Intro to Zines, Zine Making, and Zine Fests, and Sewing Hand Paws! Indie Arts Montclair, a local arts collective where I serve on the board and was a founding member, is preparing for our annual Skill Share events set to take place on November 15th and 16th, 2025, Saturday and Sunday! Skill Shares are free or low cost workshops presented by community members, businesses and organizations. Registration is encouraged here, but not necessary, folks are welcome to drop in to attend. The Montclair Creative Reuse Project wants to help make Halloween sustainably fun this year! Our Halloween Costume Swap is free and you don’t need to drop something off in order to pick something out! 🎃 Drop off and pick up clean + gently used costumes and accessories in all sizes for kids + adults during shop hours, Wednesdays through Sundays 12-5, now until Halloween. 🎃 Props, masks, hats, packaged costumes, homemade costumes, accessories, capes, unusual clothing, uniforms. The Montclair Creative Reuse Project opened in it's new retail home located inside Culture Couture, 53 Church St in Montclair, and I couldn't be more pleased with the reception! The Grand Opening on Saturday, 8/2/25, was a steady flow of friends, family, and curious treasure hunters, who all found their way to the cozy space at the back of Culture Couture, a "shop inside a shop", as I'm calling it!  By the end of the day on Sunday I was euphoric and exhausted! I’m so excited to announce that the Montclair Creative Reuse Project has found a retail home! The project will be occupying a cozy space at the back of Culture Couture, 53 Church Street, on the corner of S. Park and Church Streets! It will be accessible during business hours when I’m present.
