Montclair Collage Banner Signs Revealed
I'm busy remaking my labels, hang tags, invoices, and business cards with my new shop banner logo! While remaking my banner hasn't rebranded my business, it was a necessary refresher, and reminder of spring in the air. Here is the original post about reshooting signs for a new shop banner logo. Were you able to identify where any of the letters came from? Some are obvious, others more challenging. Below are the original pics I took and where they are located. I also note which letter from the sign was cropped out for the banner. The first letter, M, was...
New Collage Banner
I created a new collage banner for the shop and I couldn't be happier with the results! The old banner was too low resolution and I have been meaning to redo it for a while. Today the light outside was perfect so I took a walk around my neighborhood and shot photos of signage that I thought looked interesting and colorful. I carefully chose one letter from each sign to create the word "Montclair", just as I had 9 years ago when I created the first collage. Can you identify any of the signs I shot? Please leave a comment...

Women In My Neighborhood - Azie from Verdigreen Home
In this new feature, Women In My Neighborhood, I recognize women in downtown Montclair, where I live and work, who inspire, educate, or work here as well. This first installment features Azie from Verdigreen Home, a family-owned and operated shop located at 182 Glenridge Avenue. It's home to local artisans and upcycled vintage décor, complimented by a do-it-yourself workshop where they stock Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan and other related products, so fun! I asked Azie a few questions about what inspires her when she's consulting and designing. For more information about Verdigreen Home be sure to check out their...
Last Show of the Season This Saturday!
Sunday in Maplewood was a blast! The Bizarre Bazaar 2016 was my best show to date so I'm spending time this week restocking my inventory in between filling orders, 'tis the season! The Shaving Kit bags made from beer promotion banners were a big hit and I'll be making new ones from different banners for the event Drink Till You Shop! the Tierney's Tavern Holiday Pop-up Market this Saturday, 12/17, from 1pm-6pm. This family friendly event features holiday drinks, pictures with Santa, local artists and vendors upstairs at Tierney's. Shop local, drink local, drink till you shop! This year features...
